Step 1:

We’ll start with the outline of the shoe in this step of our guide on how to draw sneakers. In the guide, we will draw one shoe, but you will have the tools to draw another at the end of the guide. For now, we will describe the front of the upper part of the shoe. You can start with a rounded triangle shape for the front of the shoe. Then two curved lines below will form the front of the bottom of the shoe. Finally, we’ll use an irregular line that extends diagonally from the front of the shoe. It will be bumpy because it will be the outline of the laces later. Once you’ve replicated those details, you’re ready for the next game!

Step 2:

In this second part of drawing your shoes, we are going to finish the outline of the shoes so you can start adding some details. First, using the reference image as a guide, you can draw a long shoelace running down from the top of the shoe and down to the bottom. Next, use more gently curved lines to complement the thick base of the shoe. Finally, you can finish the outline of the back and top of the shoe as shown in the reference image. Then go to step 3!

Step 3:

This step of our guide on how to draw sneakers might seem a bit tricky, but it’s not as difficult as it sounds! We’re going to draw the shoelaces in this part, and it might look a bit tricky because of the way the shoelaces intersect. Simply draw a few curved lines to make the thick laces, each of which will end in a slightly rounded line for the holes they pass through. Be sure to look closely at the image as you draw, as it will help you place the laces.

Step 4:

We will continue to add some details to your sneaker drawing in this next step. To do this we will draw curved lines going from the top of the shoe to the bottom. These lines will also surround the holes where the laces go in and out. A few minor line details will also be added to the base of the shoe. With those lines added, you’re ready to add some final details in the next step of the guide, so let’s move on!

Step 5:

In this fifth step of our guide on how to draw sneakers, we will add some final details to complete this drawing. We’ll show you some decorative elements that we have chosen, but you can also draw some additional details if you wish! First, we added a circle with a star inside on the side for the first decorations. We then added some small circles and rectangles throughout the shoe as well as additional line detailing. That’s what we’re looking for, but you can also add your additional details and elements! You can also draw a background or maybe take what you’ve learned in this guide and draw a second basketball next to it. What ideas are you going to use for this drawing before coloring it in the next step?
